Island Loop Adventures — 4.5 Hour Fishing Trip

Whether you’re a curious first timer or an experienced angler, this 4.5-hour trip is a great way to enjoy a day on the water and sharpen your fishing skills.

We’ll start by drifting the passes, targeting spotted Sea Trout and mangrove snapper. The nearby mangroves are a reliable spot for hooking into redfish and pompano, while the piers give us a chance at catching sheephead, which are always a thrill to catch.

From backwaters to inshore channels, there is no shortage of action. This trip offers a perfect mix of learning, excitement, and variety with plenty of chances to land something memorable.

Should I tip the captain?
It is customary but not mandatory to tip the captain on any charter you take anywhere around the world. Typically 20 percent is going rate. Captains do a lot of behind the scenes work to ensure boats; trucks, trailers, and gear are in tip top shape to perform their job. Nothing that has to do with boats and fishing is cheap. Captains and I especially spend a lot of time and energy to ensure we have proper baits and gear for the next day and morning of so I can deliver the best results possible.
